Privacy Policy

YelboWorks (Phoenix, Arizona, USA) makes HardForm and 3D Scan Buddy. The short version: the programs run on your computer, your files stay on your computer, and the website has no cookies and no analytics. This page lists the few cases where data does leave your machine.

The programs

HardForm and 3D Scan Buddy run locally. They do not send your models, drawings, scans or settings anywhere, and they do not phone home, with exactly three exceptions:

  1. Update check. The updater fetches a small manifest file from downloads.yelboworks.com to see whether a newer version exists. Nothing is sent beyond the ordinary HTTP request (your IP address and the request headers, which our host sees as it would for any web request). No account, license or device identifier is included.
  2. License activation. When you activate HardForm, it sends your license key and a machine name to our license service, to count activations against the 20-device limit. Nothing else is sent.
  3. Problem reports. Only if you choose to send one. A report contains the description you write, logs and system information (for example operating system and graphics adapter). You see exactly what will be sent before you press send, and nothing is sent otherwise.

The website

yelboworks.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes the technical data of each request (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect against abuse; Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that.

Buying HardForm

Checkout is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, payment details and billing address, and handles taxes, invoices and refunds under its own privacy policy. We receive the information needed to deliver your license: your email, the order details and the license key. We never see your payment card.

Email

If you write to support@yelboworks.com or hello@yelboworks.com, we keep your message and our replies so we can help you and follow up. We use them only for that and do not sell or share them, and we do not send marketing email unless you asked for it.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers named above (Lemon Squeezy for purchases, Cloudflare for hosting) as needed to run the service, or when the law requires it.

Retention and your choices

We keep license records for as long as the license exists, and support email for as long as it is useful or required by law. You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by writing to support@yelboworks.com. Deleting a license record will disable that license. You can also use the programs with the update check blocked at your firewall; they continue to work.

Children

The Software and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change what the programs send or what the website collects, we will update this page and its date before the change ships.
